List Conversion

A.B. Data applies industry-standard CASS and PAVE-certified conversion software with custom-written applications to scrub your data and allow for the best possible postal discounts.

NCOA^Link™ and Delivery Point Validation

Our software interfaces with the NCOA^Link™ product. The Change of Address (COA) records in the U.S. Postal Service^® (USPS^®) NCOA^Link™ data reflect an eighteen-month period relative to the move-effective date the postal customer provided the USPS. A.B. Data partners with a NCOA^Link™ Full Service provider when data is needed beyond 18 months. The NCOA^Link™ data is updated weekly.

Our DPV™ service allows us to isolate addresses within your file that are not valid delivery point addresses according to the USPS.

Merge/Purge Processing

The best strategy for duplicate detection requires a clear plan for dealing with inconsistent data. Because we offer a very high degree of precision in dealing with inconsistent data through our list quality analysis and standardization procedures, we are able to identify unique and duplicate records with a great degree of accuracy. Further, our duplicate identification software combined with our special programming techniques consist of numerous matching logic strategies, each with the flexibility to compare exact data or a chosen percentage of like data elements.

We match by household (same surname and address), by individual (same first and last name and address), by residence (same address, disregarding name), or by any criteria you require.

We can identify and flag or eliminate duplication on more than 1,000 lists at a time and apply customized matching techniques on inexact duplicates, finding records that contain exactly or approximately the same data in one or more fields. By adjusting the degree of our match, we can achieve a very high degree of accuracy and efficiency. We strive to find the precise combination of comparisons to test for during duplicate detection, avoiding as many "false" duplicates as possible.

Postal Presorting

Our CASS and PAVE-certified software allows us to offer the broadest support of mail classes and sortation schemes available, including Optional Procedure and on-site mail verification. Our address processing speed is extremely fast, and the number of presort schemes per project is extensive. We are capable of palletization and offer support for drop shipping and mail.dat file generation.

We offer PLANET Code^® barcode technology for our clients who take advantage of the USPS Confirm^® service. Confirm^® service uses a special barcode called PLANET Code to electronically track First-Class™, Standard, and Periodical letter-size and flat-size mail that you send out to your customers or reply mail that customers send back to you.

Two-Dimensional Barcodes

At A.B. Data, we provide the newest addition to barcode symbol technology. The two-dimensional (2-D) barcode encodes information in the vertical dimension as well as the horizontal dimension of linear barcodes (UPC, Code 39, Code 128, etc.). The ability to encode a portable database has made two-dimensional symbologies attractive in statement applications. A 2-D barcode can hold large amounts of data in an area no bigger than the end of a pencil eraser.
